danger is the risk of harm or death.

But supposedly that’s more dangerous then responding to physical fights, domestics, criminals and or mentally disturbed people with weapons, people who will fight to avoid prison, etc etc? Make it make sense

You're a cop, so I'll explain it the most straightforward way I know how:

If danger is the risk of harm or death, and roofers get hurt more and die more than cops, then there is more danger to roofers than there is to cops. It's pretty simple if you think about it.
