Edit I’ve been corrected this from 2019

Bruh people were rolling their eyes at the angry Jewish hobbit. He wasn't even paying attention to the server just ranting. The gasps of horror from the crowd didn't start until buddy took it upon himself to ground and pound in the middle of a coffee shop.
He saw an easy target and wanted to look like a hero but he actually unnecessarily made it worse.

u/GeneriComplaint 1d ago
I am pretty sure as soon as he touched that guy it was "assault".

I don’t think so at all I think that guy got exactly what he deserved. He had already got in someone else’s space and pushed them, thats technically assault. The other guy just stoped him. he didn’t punch him he just brought him to the ground. He did a little more than the little guy had already done to someone else. And he challenged that guy, maybe you don’t challenge people, there’s always someone crazier than you. He basically put the idiot in timeout for a few seconds.

I genuinely feel very sad for that man... He has carried a lot of weight over the years. Being short affects a lot of people - hell people break their damn legs and do that lengthening procedure just to get like 3-6 inches of height increase.
191
u/RATGUT1996 1d ago
I remember an AMA on a guy who had the surgery to get the lengthening. Women never paid attention to him and he was often the butt end of jokes. After the surgery he actually said “I finally was seen as a human”. It was the best decision of his life and the pain was worth it.
Which is sad to think about.

u/Galumpadump 1d ago
I think it’s cultural as well. People of Western European ancestry tend to skew taller and with majority of the Angola sphere is of that ancestry.
I’ve noticed in places like latin america or in parts of asia it’s nit uncommon for a man to be shorter than his spouse. Also, in countries like the Philippines it’s not uncommon to see men who are 5’2 and below.
Tall is tall no matter where you all but what is considered short can vary and how that is viewed in wider society. As a 5’7 black guy I have never had trouble dating latinas or woman of SEA and East Asian descent, but have been considered a “short king” to some of the white woman I have dated, even the ones that I’m 3-4 inches taller then lol.

Imagine mutilating yourself for a few inches of height. I'd get it if you had dwarfism, but a normal proportional dude putting himself through a dangerous procedure that will probably have negative consequences down the line (if it hasn't happened already)...unhinged.
I have a friend with a massive chip on his shoulder about his height. Great dude, he's got a good build, lovely face, he's even got dimples for goodness sake. But he just can't shut up about how short he is. And imo, the insecurity and bitterness about this one thing he can't control is holding him back more than his actual height.
Girls are into him, but he just keeps sabotaging himself because he decides for them what they think of him. It's super frustrating to see him torpedo himself like this.
My uncle was a skinny short dude with a crooked nose. He never had any trouble finding partners because he was frankly delightful to be around.
So, any short dudes reading this: please love yourself enough to: 1) view rejection from any woman who only wants 6+ ft dudes as the bullet dodge it really is 2) think of yourself less. Trust me when I say y'all are in your own heads about yourselves wayy too much.

I’m 5’6… short, but not crazy short. A little below average, but I’ve always been in good shape, and I wasn’t afraid of fighting or running my mouth growing up, so I never got bullied or got my ass kicked. I’m 33 years old now, and that being said, I’ve been called short 50,000 times in my life at least. It’s just something people will say.
This guy is probably 5’1… I can’t imagine the bullying he received his entire life
18
u/GissobopNation 1d ago edited 1d ago
I’m 5’4, and yeah it sucks. Truly. Would not recommend.
THANK GOD I’m actually very stocky and well built from good genetics and working out otherwise it’d be a lot harder in life.
Believe it or not I’m also married to a universally attractive woman who prefers shorter guys, So it worked out okay for me
5
u/Mammoth_Ferret_1772 1d ago
Exact same here lol. My wife is only 5’2, and my height has never been something she even noticed or cared about. Women who aren’t shallow don’t really care about stuff like that, same for men too. I played sports and lifted weights all through school, so it was just something I’d always hear. No one says a word about my height now because I’m in better shape than 99% of guys I work with

Knew a guy I practiced Kung Fu with who was around 5'2. Extremely well built dude, fuckin' funny as hell, but we actually got talking about bullying one day and I felt bad for the guy. He was in his 30s and still had trouble dating due to the stigma around shorter men. I never understood it in our culture and the preference around height always seemed very shallow to me.
Granted, I'm not the "ideal height" either. I'm 5'11, and I married a beautiful woman who's 6'4. Things worked out for me, but I genuinely feel for the guy in this video. Dudes got a lot of built up anger from some pretty traumatic past shit. Doesn't excuse him being a dickhead, but still

That's wild to hear, maybe it's much bigger thing in the US? I'm 5'5, in decent but not amazing shape, and I don't think I've heard anyone comment on my size in a mean way since I was about 16?
I'm in my mid 30s now and I'm struggling to even remember the last time it came up from anyone, other than the very occasional joke from very close friends. There probably are women who have not been interested because of my height, but I've never hugely struggled to get dates so it's hard to tell.

Im korean French , grew up in France but visiting Korea every years . The stuff people do to get taller is crazy especially if it’s at a national scale with media telling it’s good to use growth hormone if kids is short , I won’t talk about plastic surgery cause it’s more known now … (all you see on TV are fake faces ).
Because I grew up in France my mentality was more critical about artificial stuff and preferred natural , but I know that being short (5’8) isn’t attractive (often shortest guy of my class , some girls taller than me in high school looking adult when I look more juvenile, especially in rich kid school).
It’s better to focus on stuff we can change , that depend on us (virtu ) than what we can’t change (fortuna) if I refer to Machiavelli.
But , like Plato said about sophism in gorgias , we have fake illegitimate science or fields that imitates appearance of things . (One of example he uses , via Socrates dialogue : Beauty is what reflects health , but fake muscle/padding, heels, wig , make up are fake , activity that give simulacra of beauty /health , when sport does real job with médecine/diet)
It’s hard to stay natural for some people cause desperation and judgement but accumulating resentment made him even worse and had biggest humiliation of his life on internet .

Dude took a shit load of fighting and defensive classes. Well when we started partying and dudes made fun of him he knocked 2 big dudes out at one party. Another party he knocked a dude out same reason. He turned into a ladies man. Became notorious in our party scene. Nobody fucked with him and chicks just came to him. It was wild times.

I have known a few. One went bonkers at a party I was at. Mother fucker drank so much he passed out in a field. This was before smart phones so we went to a store to get flash lights to go look for him.
At the checkout we get a call about him losing his shit trying to fight everyone. Even took a swing at his sister. When we got there, me and other big fella. We shouted his name, mother fucker had a look in his eyes, crazy. Not that we knew we could but we hoped we could, "Hey! Knock it off, we dont want to have to kick your ass." He thought about it and then went on a rant slowly calming down.
Later one kid was like, we were in the Ford escape, locked in. He was trying to flip the car over. He was insane.
Yeah, I guess being short was a bit of a traumatic thing for him.

Reminds me of the little aggressive yapping Chihuahua in my neighborhood as a kid. It would come running out of the open front door and chase us from a distance while we skateboarded, barking that annoying little dog bark. One day we decided to run at it randomly on a count of three. As soon as we turned and came at it, the bark turned to a yip and it ran with it's tail tucked in to the house. We chased up to the open front door (they left the door open for the dogs while they were gone) and saw it inside, huddled and shaking against the wall, a puddle of piss on the floor around it...
