We say ACAB because the two clowns standing next to him are just as complicit in permitting this bad behavior.

Reaches up to turn off camera

1

u/wild_west_900 2d ago

while maintaining eye contact the whole time

u/Capital-Texan 2d ago

I think they were turning on their cameras for the arrest, not recording what happened before that, that mgiht benefit the arrested party in court.

u/EndDangerous1308 2d ago

It's from 8+years ago apparently so camera rules/laws hadn't been as widespread as they are post 2020

Yep, 100%

“He’s being held in handcuffs until we figure out………” he had nothing. Then comes back a couple seconds later with “he’s being detained for a crime”. 🤡 🤡 🤡

I can't wait for the Good Cops to solve the issue of police brutality! I'm sure they'll do it any day now...

You mean any century now.

“Few”

1

u/thatshygirl06 2d ago

Read the full phrase, hun. A few bad apples spoil the bunch

1

u/BLUExT1GER 2d ago

I think they mean there's way more than just a few.

1

u/B-Glasses 2d ago

That’s exactly what I’m saying

1

u/No_Dance1739 2d ago

Yes, because the batch has been spoiled

1

u/_IratePirate_ 2d ago

The whole bunch is spoiled is the context you’re missing

I had an LT, who I actually thought was a nice guy and had some pretty progressive policing ideas, tell me once that people complain all the time, but he knows theyre all lying and his officers didn't do anything wrong "based on the statements". I think he was delusional rather than a straight up bastard but the result is the same. I think he actually got promoted to a captain recently so he can be even more removed from reality but still be in charge.

1

u/Ok_Physics_5237 2d ago

What's an LT?

1

u/deusasclepian 2d ago

Lieutenant

1

u/Alexwonder999 2d ago

All that copaganda has invaded my slang I guess.

2

u/Onuus 2d ago

Exfuckingactly.

They’re all rotten. Even if they’re not the ones doing it. They won’t stand up to their buddies.

My uncle became a state trooper when I was around 18. COMPLETELY changed his personality, he was a decent dude; good father before.

Now he’s a trump supporter who gets excited going to the Texas border to prevent immigrants into the country.

I can guarantee you he has stood around watching his trooper friends violate someone’s constitutional rights, and then got to go home and pet his dog and watch the football game.

Fuck these bullies.

ALL COPS ARE BAD SO WE SAY IT

1

u/PubbleBubbles 2d ago

Not permitting

Threatening

They were there to use force against anyone who tried to stop the douchebag officer from threatening the guy.

They were part of the threat

1

u/pumkinut 2d ago

Any cop that let's a bad cop get away with shit behavior is a bad cop as well.

1

u/NTMY 2d ago

Same for the boss who doesn't punish them or the other colleagues in their department, who at best do nothing and at worst defend him no matter what.

1

u/_IratePirate_ 2d ago

Yea yea yea fuck a “good cop” bro. That phrase is a fuckin oxymoron

That’s like saying jumbo shrimp

0

u/F4C3MC5H00TY 2d ago

Hey don’t generalize, not all cops are bad. There are bad cops and there are coward cops.

4

u/clownshoesrock 2d ago

Coward cops are bad cops.. Uvalde!

0

u/cruckybust 2d ago

I’m completely against the ACAB movement and the ACAJ movement (not that anyone asked), but you read my mind here. Why tf are the other two allowing it to happen. Crazy

-3

u/Cautious_Topic5687 2d ago

Okay? So you think we shouldn’t have cops then? Dumb clown

2

u/Podalirius 2d ago

Only clowns here are the ones that don't want to change the status quo.

1

u/Nuts4WrestlingButts 2d ago

Yeah, who else is going to show up five hours after I got burgled and shoot my dog?

1

u/lonely-day 2d ago

Shit, I can do that for half the pay

-4

u/blahblah19999 2d ago

ACAB is still incorrect

3

u/jaywinner 2d ago

Not by much. A cop would need to both not act like an asshole and stop other cops when they act like an asshole. All the cops seen in this clip are bastards.

And cops that actually stop their fellow officers get run off the force. This makes the rare good cops a temporary thing.

So while I'm sure there are a few cops in sleepy towns that never do or see any police wrongdoing, the vast majority of cops are shit.

As far as slogans go, this is one of the better ones. Black Lives Matter is divisive because of course all lives matter but their point is that black lives matter because some of you seem to have forgotten that. Defund the police means to reduce police funding and their scope and replace them with appropriate resources, not eliminating the police force.

ACAB is pretty damn close to accurate. Exceptions are rare. I could spend my life watching new instances of police misconduct because it never ends and they rarely get punished.

In all cases, the slogan is just to bring up the issue. People can and should look beyond the slogan for the related issue. And this is a hell of an important issue.

There’s the bad cops and there are the coward cops that don’t stand up to the bad ones. All of them bastards.

3

u/jaywinner 2d ago

Most are bad. While you're right that the good ones probably won't go viral, the bad ones don't need to be bad in every interaction. Violating people's rights, even if only in a fraction of interactions, still makes you a bad cop.

I also don't think this is getting worse; we just have cameras exposing it now.

-1

u/UnicornMilking 2d ago

As hard as it might be for you to admit, the kind of change you seem to be advocating for would require significantly more training and therefore more funding. Calling to “defund the police” is about as silly as suggesting we defund paramedics because some aren’t performing well. In that case we wouldn’t cut funding to paramedic training, that would be ridiculous. How does the same not apply to police? What do you think defunding them would actually achieve?

3

u/jaywinner 2d ago

The idea is to take the funding away from the police and also reduce their scope. Slash police forces and replace them with social workers, EMT and a slew of others that are more capable of handling many situations. And considering how bloated police budgets are, I don't think it would cost more; we'd just be moving the money.

1

u/Ok_Physics_5237 2d ago

That is the real issue. Good people dont make it through police academy, it's designed so all cops become bastards when they're done training.

1

u/lonely-day 2d ago

But bootlicking is super productive

-4

u/lll_Joka_lll 2d ago

Don’t call 911 when you’re in danger then

2

u/Podalirius 2d ago

911 isn't just for cops dipshit

2

u/AdvancedSandwiches 2d ago edited 2d ago

How do you watch this video of a roid raging cop and still stand up for him and the two watching him?

What is wrong with you?

2

u/JLifts780 2d ago

I definitely don’t and won’t, they always make things worse

1

u/Ok_Physics_5237 2d ago

Of course not, when the cops show up they just make everything worse.
